I love designing for startups, small businesses, and federal agencies. As a full-stack designer, I contribute across the process, from user research and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and implementation. Here are featured projects that show how I adapt my design approach to each scope and team.
I bring a versatile skill set to every project, adapting to the team's needs and the challenge at hand. Whether focusing on research, UX strategy, UI design, or hands-on implementation, I aim to deliver thoughtful solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical realities.
I’ve been designing since the early days of the web, building sites by hand and learning how people really interact with screens. That foundation shaped how I approach product design today by blending clean visuals with thoughtful UX to create interfaces that feel clear, useful, and intuitive.
I work across UX, UI, and product strategy, with a focus on intuitive interfaces and user-centered problem solving. Recently, I’ve been using AI tools to accelerate iteration and spark new ideas. Whether I’m launching something from scratch or refining an existing product, I design with intention and a strong sense of craft.
Designed and launched 50+ responsive sites and apps, boosting engagement and conversions by up to 40% through user-centered design. Streamlined prototyping by 60% using AI tools like ChatGPT, Lovable, v0, Cursor, while leading research and testing to shape intuitive UX flows and design systems.
Led mobile-first, accessible design for OPM.gov (50M+ visits/year) and federal status apps, streamlining UI with a Figma component library that cut mockup time from 5 days to 8 hours and improved accessibility across 10K+ pages (WCAG 2.0 AA).
Co-founded Swaggle and led UX/UI across iOS and web, driving 3 product pivots and redesigning onboarding to cut drop-off by 35% and increase profile completion by 60%. Created brand identity and investor materials that helped secure $150K in funding and admission to ETC Baltimore and 1776 accelerators.
Designed social media dashboards for political campaigns to track sentiment and performance, directly shaping strategy decisions. Adapted UX/UI to evolving goals and user feedback in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Designed branding and UX for Menu Ninja, an online ordering platform used by 15+ restaurants, collaborating directly with owners to refine user flows. Also led design for Food Truck Monkey, the first online ordering platform for food trucks, trusted by 20+ vendors through hands-on research and iteration.
Managed and updated map POI databases using Access, MSSQL, and Flash. Collaborating with Account Managers to address customer needs.
Designed web templates and web-based promotional materials, including banner ads, email campaigns, and mini-sites.
These days I mainly work in web design and content creation; while I have done designs for mobile app, logo, as well as print. I know the basic criteria of most media and the best practices for effective design for each (or know how to Google). I can also run user experience testing like focus groups, user interviews, etc.
I find myself gravitating to products or services that would make an impact in everyday life, something that matters.
I hate to do this to you, but yes, it does depend. =) Send me an email and we will chat.
